Debby is pregnant from Stormy

We think Debby is Pregnant. The puppies will be expected at the end of July. There are still some puppies available
Run Before Beauty's Debby and Petruska's Stormy

Debby is very fast and she is also good in lead. Debby comes from Joel Reyniers from Belgium, 2 brothers of Debby run in Joel's open team and with them he won last year in Zuberec, Slovakia EC WSA and this year he became World Champion in Asarna in Sweden.

Stormy Is a brother of Brew and they both come from Peter Kick. Cristian Langer from Switserland bought Stormy when Peter stopped. Stormy is World Champion in Frauenwald 2006 in the 6 dogsclass in the team of Marijke Vosmeer. And Christian was 2th at EC Zuberec 2007 in the 6 dogsclass and 2th at the WC in Asarna, Sweden 2008. The pups must be born in the middle of August.

Snow in Holland

Snow in Holland in the Easter weekend.

This season is over

There are no races left this season. Now our dogs can enjoy there summer holiday. The dogs run this season 450 km with quad and 410 kilometers in the snow. So when we stop training on the end of this month the have run 900 km.

3th day of WC in Asarna, Sweden

Andre van den Brink has finished on the 6th place in the 8 dogs class.
We called Christian Langer and he is Finished 2e in the 6 dog class. And he is very satisfied with this result.
When the race in Les Mosses starts we meet him and we can Celebrate our both 2th places.

Final results WC Asarna

Roderick 2th on the Europian Championship 2008 in Donovaly

This was our most importent race of this year. We go to DonovalyDonovaly 2008 for a podium place. And we take the second place and we are very happy with this result. The last day I was with 7 dogs 1 minute faster than the 2 times World and Europian Champion Jurgen Stolz. Esspeccialy the last day I had he fantastic race.

Canis Polaris meets the famous Harris en Ginger Dunlap

This weekend we have been at a sleddog seminar in Kiruna, Sweden. Togheter with Andre en Cindy van den Brink and specially to listen to the Seminar of Harris en Ginger Dunlap , they were the founders and Owners of the famous Zero Kennel from Amerika from 1960 till 1992.
This was the most importent Siberian Husky kennel there is ever been till so far. Because of all mushers from the top of Europe have these Zero dogs in the Pedigree of there dogs.
So the Dunlaps have made the foundation of all the successes of mushers as Peter Kick, Petra Nolle, Detlef Oyen en Joel Reyniers.
We hope to stay in touch with them so we ask questions in the future

Kasimir and Princess

The last days our male dog Reebook's Kasimir has fertilized Somerset Island Bprincess
We bought Kasimir from Peter Kick and Princess was the leaddog of Petra Nölle before she stopped with the sleddogsport. Princess is now living in Holland in the Lasting Run Kennel of Andre and Cindy van den Brink

Our first Canis Polaris litter

And last but not least number 10 arrived a female. Currently we have 6 males and 4 females. We hope that we can finaly go to bed and that all the puppies have arrived by now.
Brew is very tired due to this large litter. All the puppies weigh between 370 and the 470 gram. The puppies are pretty busy and are drinking good. Brew herself is doing fine. We are very tired after all these days of keeping watch and waiting for the puppies to arrive.

I would like to thank Casper, Adry, Chris van Mannekes and Arno Roos for all their help from conception till delivery of this litter.

23:51 It goes so fast I barly can keep up with the updates on the site.
Currently we have 9 healthty puppies.
6 males and 3 females. All the names need to start with the letter A. We hope that Brew is now ready and won't deliver any more......

After nearly 3 years waiting it finally is happening the first 7 Canis Polaris puppies have been born.
At 18:50 Brew started giving birth and at 21:45 we have 7 puppies and the litter is still not complete
From left to right first a male, second a female, third male, fourth female, fifth female. sixth, seventh are male. we keep you updated....

Brew is pregnant by Bugger

Our bitch Petruska's Brew is pregnant of Reebook’s G-Bugger of Andy Birkel from Germany. After medical examination there were minimal 4 pups to see. Now she is 6 weeks pregnant and she already puts on weight 2,7 kilo. Brew has to give birth at 27th of May. We hope for whelping without problems.

Reebook's Kasimir HD-free

At the photos Reebook's Kasimir did not have Hip Dysplasia. And also after testing his eyes, he did not have any eye problem. So now Kasimir is ready for stud dog. Kasimir is a big, strong male. His height is 63 cm and his weight is 25 kilo. In the team he can work at any place, also in lead. Sire is Reebook's Freaky Red War Eagle and dam is Howling Spirit Frost.

Breeding Brew by Bugger

Our bitch Petruska's Brew, we bought last year from Peter Kick, Germany. He and his 8-dog team became World Champion Sled dog Races. Now we breed her with Reebook’s G-Bugger of Andy Birkel, also from Germany. Now we hope about 9 weeks to have a litter with nice pups.

Lance Mackey winner Iditarod 2007

Finishing time: 9 days, 5 hours, 8 minutes and 41 seconds
In Anchorage he started with 16 dogs and in Nome he ended with 9 dogs.

Lance Mackey, 36, was born and raised in Alaska. The two-time Yukon Quest champion (and current record holder) says he began mushing “at birth.” “I grew up around racing and the Iditarod. I was at the finish line in 1978 to see my father, Dick Mackey, win by one second. In 1983 my older brother Rick won. Both, my father and brother, won wearing bib #13 in their sixth Iditarod. This year will be my sixth Iditarod and I will pick bib #13 when I select my starting position. Big shoes to fill, but I must try. The dogs will be 16 veterans or either the Yukon Quest or the Iditarod and are ages three to five. “Hobo” & “Larry” will be leading the way. Lance is the musher rep on the T-200 Board and a lifetime member of the Yukon Quest.
